2020 Grant Recipients
2020 has not been a normal year for anyone, but we were pleased to be able to continue supporting local charity projects through our granting program. It is always a pleasure to get out and meet the organisations who we help, and presenting our ‘giant cheque’ is a fun way of doing that!
It was a sunny day and the Peninsula was looking picture-perfect when Board president Tim and longtime board member Bob went out to present a grant cheque to The Farmlands Trust Society. They work hard to enhance local farming capacity in the Greater Victoria area by protecting local farmland. Carol Pickup & David Clark accepted the cheque at the historic Newman Farm in Saanichton.
We are very happy to present another grant this year to the Saanich Marine Rescue Society who keep boaters safe in our waterfront community through the Royal Canadian Marine Search & Rescue – Station 36. Pictured L-R Pat Fogarty, Tim Maloney, Del Elgersma, Robert Hope.
Always lots of smiles when we get to present our grant cheques!
